HMD’s 900th Ship Delivered
HMD reached a milestone when they delivered their 900th ship, which was completed 18 years after its first FPSO delivery in 1997.
HMD held a delivery ceremony for the ship, named Mari Jone, a 50,000 DWT product carrier for Swedish company Marinvest on April 28. Mari Jone features the dual-fuel engine, which uses bunker C oil and methanol as fuel.
HMD was first established in 1975 for ship repair but started building ships in the mid-1990s. They delivered their 500th ship in 2011.
