First Methanol-Fueled Product Carrier in the Wo
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) held a delivery ceremony for a 50,000 DWT product carrier for Westfal-Larsen on April 20.
The carrier, officially named Lindanger on April 18, measures 186.0 m in length, 32.2 m in width, and 19.1 m in height.
Lindanger is equipped with a dual-fuel engine which allows the ship to run both on bunker C oil and methanol, which is a first for the shipbuilding industry. When running on methanol, the ship produces almost no air pollutants such as NOx or SOx.
