
HMD Holds 19th Sea Festival for the Disabled
HMD’s community service gathering “Chorong” held a sea festival for the disabled at the Ilsan Beach on May 29.
The festival was attended by 200 disabled people from the Ulju-gun Donghyang Rehabilitation Center, Gwangmyeong Center for the visually handicapped in Nam-gu, Chamsarang Center for the intellectually handicapped in Dong-gu, Dahween Caring Center, and Deokha Nanum Center.
Two hundred and fifty volunteers including 100 members from Chorong, HMD workers’ wives, Hyundai Technical High School, and RYC joined to support the event.
The highlights of the festival were taking a walk around Daewangam Park, watching a Samulnori (traditional percussion quartet) performance, belly dance performance and various talent shows.
