HMD, a leading shipbuilder, that is dominating the shipbuilding market segment of the medium ranged product carriers, has been acknowledged as the best shiprepair yard this year.

It has been selected as ‘The World Best Shiprepair Yard’ by the committee led by the Lloyd’s List Maritime Asia at Ritz Carlton Millenia Hotel in Singapore.

HMD has been selected as the “the World Best Shiprepair Yard” in 1999, 2000 and 2002.

Maritime Panelist from Lloyd’s List, Lloyd’s List Maritime Asia and Lloyd’s Trade Transport Buyer Asia have examined the short-Listed shiprepair yards group through the year and eventually selected HMD as the best shipyard in the shiprepair market.

HMD has successfully changed to a market leading shipbuilder, specialized in medium sized product/chemical carriers, while maintaining its major role in the ship repair market with three drydocks, one in Ulsan, Korea and two in Vietnam.
