HMD has started the overseas training program, which is held in a few well-known Japanese factories. The first training team of 26 persons headed off to Japan from Ulsan International Port on May 19. Last year, at the negotiation between management and labor union, both parties agreed to change the reward program of the couple trip to Cheju-island into training visit to advanced companies overseas.

The new program will be executed four times throughout the year and 25 employees will participate in the program each time. The first training team observed Tsuneishi Zosen, Toyota Motor Company. Through this opportunity, they were able to gain wider view of the Japanese industry. The second team of 26 employees held a pre-meeting on May 20 and left for Japan for their five-day training course on May 26.
