On Jan. 13, Keel-laying ceremonies for a 45,000dwt product/chemical tanker (H0049) and a 2,824TEU containership (H0114) were held at HMD’s dock No.4 in the presence of owners’ representatives, Class surveyors, and HMD staff.

H0049 is the last unit of two product/chemical tankers ordered by Bakri Navigation Co., Ltd. of Sudi Arabia, while H0114 is the last of three 2,824 TEU containerships ordered by Suisse-Atlantique of Switzerland. These vessels are all scheduled for delivery in June 2003.
