HMD successfully launched hull blocks of H0143 and H0254 using the semi-tandem method for the first time at No.3 Dock on Nov. 18.

Application of semi-tandem method is expected to improve berth space utilization in the future. Furthermore, it has already contributed to cutting expenses by utilizing sea water instead of fresh water.

Launched hull blocks will be delivered in March 2004 after other blocks are assembled and re-docked on Nov. 19.
