HMD held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new block fabrication shop in Daebul industrial park, a trade-free zone in Young-am, South Cholla Province, on April 30. The ceremony was attended by some 200 guests, including HMD President, K.S.Choi.

The shop will cover 201,300 square meters and be equipped with the latest fabrication machineries such as plasma cutting machine and automatic welding system.

The shop is scheduled to partially open in the second half of this year and gradually increase its production until 2007.
