Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) held a naming ceremony for a 46,000-dwt product/chemical tanker (Hull No. 0234) at the No. 5 quay.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. K. S. Choi, president of HMD, Mr. Hondos, president of ASC and other guests. Mrs. Yang Yang-Ja, wife of president Choi, named the tanker 'Athenian Horizon'.

'Athenian Horizon', the first of eight tankers ordered by ASC, is 183m in length, 32.2m in width and 18.8m in depth. It is equipped with an 11,640 bhp engine and has a service speed of 14.6 knots.

Athenian company, founded in the mid 19th century, operates a fleet of 10 vessels and a civilian broadcasting station in Greece.
