HMD held a naming ceremony for a 46,000-dwt product/chemical tanker ordered by British Petroleum Shipping of U.K on June 14, 2004. The ship was named British Security by the owner in the presence of Mr. Choi Kil-Seon, president and CEO of HMD, Mr. W. Bonse-Geuking, vice president of BP, and many other guests.

It measures 183m in length, 32.2m in width and 18.8m in depth. The ship is the second of twelve 46,000-dwt product/chemical tankers. Notably, HMD set a new record by delivering the ship 100 days earlier than the contractual delivery date.
