The first transverse bulkhead block manufactured at block fabrication shop of Daebul arrived at HMD on Aug. 22.

The shop produced the block 4 months after its ground-breaking while installation of cranes and construction of new structures were still under way.

The block fabrication shop located at Daebul Industrial Park, a trade-free zone in Young-Am, Chollanam-Do will manufacture blocks amounting to about 100,000tons each year.

In the meantime, HMD held an opening ceremony for its fifth hull shop on Aug. 26. in the presence of HMD CEO K.S.Choi and many other guests.
