HMD singed a contract for four 47,000-dwt product carriers with Cido shipping co. on Sep. 13 in the presence of Mr. K. S. Choi, CEO of HMD and Mr. H. Kwon, president of Cido. The four PCs are scheduled for delivery from the third quarter of 2007 until the fourth quarter of the same year. They will each measure 183M in length, 32M in width and 19M in depth.

Cido Shipping operates a fleet of 40 vessels including PCs. HMD has maintained good relationship with Cido over the years, providing the shipping company with ship repair and conversion services. The awarding of the contract to HMD is meaningful since it symbolizes the trust and belief established between the two companies.

Meantime, HMD has so far received orders for 44 MR PCs this year, strengthening its presence in the PC market even more.
