Dry Dock No. 3 at the 100th Batch Mark
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) has exceeded the 100th batch in dry dock No.3 on March 9.
The 100th batch has taken 18 years and 9 months since the keel laying of the FPSO for Petroleum Geo Services in 1997.
Batch is the ship turnover rate which indicates the number of ships built and launched in one dry dock.
HMD is currently building four ships at maximum in dry docks No.1, 2 and 3 and two ships at maximum in dry dock No.4.
It took 10 years to hit 50th batch in October 2007 and 8 years to hit 100th batch with increased productivity in dry dock No. 3.
