Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) held a kickoff meeting for 2016 at Hanwoori Gymnasium on January 4. Mr. Kang Hwan-goo, CEO of HMD, and 1,000 other HMD staff attended the meeting.

In the New Year’s address, Mr. Kang announced the 2016 slogan “Turn today’s crisis

into tomorrow’s opportunity,” which continues the management policy of last year - set up a clean and safe working environment, enhance profit through improved management, secure more work by competitive pricing and better performance, and share growth with sub-contractors.

The business target this year is to win the orders worth $30 billion, and build 67 ships (11 ships at Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard).

Before closing the ceremony, all attendants recited the safety slogan to reaffirm their commitment to safety practices.
