Block fabrication shop in Jangsaengpo, Ulsan started its first operation and warehoused the first blocks on September 1, 2005. The blocks are engine blocks for 37,000-dwt product carriers ordered from Interorient Navigation in Cyprus and OMI Corporation in USA. Around middle of this month when the construction of the shop finishes, it will carry out pre-outfitting works of 100 blocks and manufacture 31 pre-erected blocks a month. The shop produced the blocks 4 months after its ground-breaking while installation of cranes and construction of new structures are still under way.
