HMD held a naming ceremony on November 15 for a 53,000-dwt product & chemical carrier (Hull No. 0308) Ordered by Western Petroleum in Switzerland.

The ship was named Western Icelandic under the attendance of many guests from the owner and HMD.

Western Icelandic, the last ship out of six 53,000-dwt PCs ordered by the owner has a dimension of 186m in length, 32m in width, and 18.5m in depth.

The ship was delivered to the owner just after the ceremony and sailed out on the same day.
