With more than 50% global market share in the product carrier market, HMD continues to attract attention by taking mass orders for medium-range product carriers.

HMD signed contracts for four 47,000-dwt class product carriers with a shipping company registered in Middle East. This contract is worth $177 million and the first vessel will be delivered on October 2008.

With this contract, the number of ships ordered as of January 17 totals 12 which brings HMD one step closer to achieving its yearly order target.
