A HMD worker gave a part of his liver to his ill mother who was suffering from a liver disease and his colleagues contributed monetary donation for the hospital fees.

One year ago, Mr. Nam Gi-Jung’s mother was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and the only method of treatment was transplantation surgery. However, she could not find a donor. Mr. Nam decided to donate a part of his liver to his mother, even though he also suffered from fatty liver. After his decision, Mr. Nam exercised rigorously for the past year to improve the condition of his liver. Recently the operation was performed and the result was very successful.
