Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) had a naming ceremony for a 2,824TEU containership at No.3 Quay on April 17.

This ship is the third out of the six 2,824TEU containerships ordered from Tsakos Shipping & Trading of Greece.

Guests from the shipowner’s company participated in the ceremony including Mr. Stylianos Glyptis, president of Tsakos Commerce, Mr. Yasuyuki Usui, director of NYK. The ship was named Irenes Rainbow and was sailed out after the naming ceremony.

Irenes Rainbow has the dimension of 222.2m in length, 30m in breadth and 16.8m in depth.
