Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a Norwegian classification society, held a celebration in commemoration of conducting 100th inspection of HMD tanker and conferred an appreciation plaque to HMD on December 6. On that day, both parties concerned participated including Kim Young-ho. manager of DNV’s Ulsan branch and Kim Choon-gon, senior executive vice president of HMD. The first HMD tanker inspected by DNV was a 22,000dwt multi-purpose carrier named lran Sattari and ordered by lrisl of lran on December in 1998. the 100th inspection was performed on a 37,000dwt product carrier named Baltic Marshall and ordered by Interorient Navigation Shipping of Cyprus.
