Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) recently affirmed its position as one of the top competitors in the shipbuilding industry. Naval Architect, a British maritime magazine, named three HMD ships as “Most Outstanding Ship.”

The three ships include Eships Cobia, a 13,000DWT product carrier, Aktoras, 37,000dwt product carrier and Ital Festoas, 3,450TEU containership. Notably, both small and medium size product carriers were selected reflecting HMD’s dominance in the market.

This is the sixth consecutive year that HMD’s ships were named “Most Outstanding Ships” since 2001. HMD has delivered about 240 vessels so far and 10 vessels, including five product carriers and three containerships that have been awarded this honor.
