Newly Developed A/S System

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) developed the SPAS 100, an integrared A/S system, to manage delivered ships systematically. SPAS 100, meaning ‘Speedy, Perfect A/S to 100% Customer Satisfaction’ and was designed to improve customer satisfaction in the After Sales (A/S) Service. The newly developed system unifies communications and operations between shipowners and subcontractors to improve work environment, allowing HMD to handle claims and requests of the ship’s clients in good time. HMD also improved systematic management of the history by keeping track of claims and feedback from the shipowner. Relevant feedback and claims are forwarded to the appropriate departments and QM to the become effective automatically. The A/S Department had kept e-mail letters on file, from now on, the department plans to use the system to categorize and store letters automatically, which is expected contribute towards not only rapid advancement of tasks and but also cost reduction.
