Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) received “The Most Respected Company” award on December 19. The award is sponsored by the Korean CEO Association (KCEOA) and supported by the Citizen’s Coalition for Economic Justice and The Korea Economic Daily. It is awarded to company that contributes to the development of the nation’s economy and is respected by the public.

HMD was selected for this award for its line of world-class quality product carriers and containerships in the mid-size market, estimation to become the forth largest shipyard in the world with diversified orders, and recording the biggest sales and net profit growth.

At the award ceremony, Mr. Song Jea-byung, CEO of HMD, said HMD will not bask in past achievements but continue to lead the growth of the Korean shipbuilding Industry.
