Captain Andreev Alexander, an employee of Vroon Tankers B.V., said “The quality of Petro-Chemical Product Carriers from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) is the world’s best.” He made this announcement at a christening ceremony on April 2nd. Alexander has operated five vessels from HMD so far, and he claims that all five have been perfect ships without any defects. He called the HMD PC the “Mercedes-Benz” of the ship market.

It was also noted by Alexander that the PCs made by HMD are very economical. He noted how safe the vessels are, both when sailing between US and South American harbors, and when passing under bridges. Although the interval between the bridge post and the vessel is only five feet, the bow thruster can be operated delicately in a very short period of time, allowing for a greater level of safety. He was so impressed with the level of quality HMD PC ships possess that Alexander said that he wanted his gratitude to be known to the entire HMD staff, especially those workers who were responsible for building, the vessel he piloted. HMD has worked hard to earn the very high level of trust that Vroon has for HMD PCs. Based on this trust, HMD has been awarded contracts for nine PCs from Vroon, along with contracts for four PCTCs.
