On June 1st an opening ceremony for Norddeutsche Vermgen Holding GmbH & Co. KG’s new office was held at HMD. Many people attended the ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new office, including representatives from Norddeutsche Vermogen, HMD, and classification societies. Mr. Rainer Blotenberg is expected to be the chief supervisor of the office, which will be in use until January, 2009. There will be a steel-cutting ceremony for the first vessel, Hull No. 4024, on June 13th. Norddeutsche Vermogen, founded in 1989, is located in Hamburg, Germany, and operates a fleet of 48 containerships.
