Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) has contributed to Ulsan’s public welfare by supporting its regional schools.

HMD participated in campaign to support schools and held a ceremony to deliver their contribution on May 29th. At the ceremony in Hyundai Heavy Industries’ reception hall, CEO of HMD, Song Jae-byoung, promised to make contributions to five schools in Dong-gu, Ulsan, totaling 50 million won. The five schools chosen were Bangeo-Jin elementary school, Joo-Jeon elementary school, Hwa-Am middle school, Hwa-Am high school, and Moon-Hyun high school.

HMD will supply the schools with computers, photocopiers, desks, chairs, books, slides, and basketball backboards, all of which will be delivered in June. Mr. Song said, “Although industrialization in Ulsan has progressed very quickly, there remain some schools in need. HMD has made a decision to help schools facing financial difficulties.”
