HMD delivered a 1,800 TEU containership, the second of twelve containerships ordered by Reederei Claus-Peter Offen GMBH & Co. of Germany, on August 9th. It was named the San Alberto at the naming ceremony on August 6th.

The 1,800 TEU Containership is a new ship type for HMD. It can load 1,800 20ft. containers and measures 186.0m in length, 27.6m in width, and 17.1m in depth. The vessel is equipped with the HYUNDAI B&W 6L70MC-C with 26,000 BHP as its main engine, which offers a service speed of 21.2 knots, the fastest speed available for small-sized containerships.
