Mr. Song Jae-Byoung, CEO of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD), visited the Vietnamese subsidiary Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard (HVS).

After a presentation about sales and production in HVS, Mr. Song toured the factory, inspiring the staff and workers.

He also encouraged HVS employees who had previously worked at HMD.

According to Mr. Song, “HVS has succeeded as a leading ship-repair yard, overcoming many difficulties. HVS needs a plan to continue its medium. and long-term development.”

Mr. Song also met with a chief clerk from Khanh Hoa and a chief officer from the council of the people’s commissars. Afterwards, he traveled to Hanoi and met with the Minister of Transportation and Mr. Pham Than Binh, president of the Vinashin Group, a joint venture company with HMD.
