To keep pace with the production of car decks of Pure Car/Truck Carrier (PCTC), HMD is improving the painting equipment in its block fabrication shop. The additional painting facilities will include 3 workshops, a plant for blasting, a transformer substation, and a machinery factory. It is expected to be completed in May, increasing the painting capacity from 0.9 million square meters to 1.5 million square meters per year. The block fabrication shop located at Daebul Industrial Park, a trade-free zone in Young-Am, Chollanam-Do will manufacture blocks amounting to approximately 100,000 tons each year.
