On January 20, the first special event of the year, a visit to Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, was held for the families of HMD employees. More than 40 people from 10 families participated in the tour. They watched a company film about HMD and took a bus trip around the docks, where they could see vessels being built.

At one dock they were allowed out of the bus to see just how colossal the vessels in the dock were, and to allow family pictures to be taken. Because many more families applied than expected, HMD increased the number allowed to participate, and expects to provide more great events in the future.
