On March 7, an opening ceremony was held at HMD for the new site office of German ship owner Bernhard Schulte GMBH & Co. KG. Representatives from Bernhard Schulte, HMD, and classification societies attended the ceremony. Mr. Stratos Stavrothanasis is expected to be the site office’s chief supervisor, which will be in operation in August of 2009. Bernhard Schulte currently has 2 LPG Carriers on HMD’s backlog.

At the end of 2006 HMD received orders for two 20,600m³LPG Carriers, Hull No. 8017 and 8018, from Bernhard Schulte. The first steel cutting for Hull No. 8017 will start on April 4.
