On March 18 HMD held a naming ceremony for a 46,000-dwt Product Carrier ordered by National Chemical Carriers (NCC) Co., Ltd. of Saudi Arabia.

In attendance were people from NCC, HMD, and classification societies. The new ship, Hull No. 0470, was named NCC Haiel. It is the last of ten 46,000-dwt Product/Chemical Tankers ordered by NCC, and measures 183.025m in length, 32.2m in width, and 18.8m in depth.

The ship is equipped with a Hyundai B&W 6S50MC-C engine, providing 12,900 BHP and a service speed of 15.0 knots.
