Shipbuilding Korea 2008, the fifth annual conference on shipbuilding in Korea, was held at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel on September 9^th. Attendees discussed way to retain or expand Korea’s market share of the shipbuilding industry. Presentations covered a range of topics, including the future of the shipbuilding industry, the global economy, maritime technology, and the IMO’s rules & regulations. S.K Ahn, senior sales manager at HMD, received a tribute from the Korean Ministry of Economy. C.K. Sung and S.W. Nam were awarded prizes by the Korean Shipbuilding Association.
