Dutch shipowner Seaarland Shipping Management opened its office at HMD on October 20^th. Representatives from Seaarland, HMD, and classification societies attended the ceremony. Mr. Bama P. Dasgupta was appointed the chief supervisor of the Seaarland site office, which will be open until July of 2009.

HMD has received orders for two 37,000-dwt product/chemical tankers from Seaarland. The first of the two ships, Hull No. 2012, held its steel cutting ceremony on October 2^nd.
