The Smooth Process of Open Hatch General Cargo Carrier
HMD has completed the installation of the gantry crane on the first OHGCC, Hull No. 8001. HMD has successfully installed two 520-ton cranes on the deck of Hull No. 8001. The vessel is the first of four 49,000-dwt OHGCC series ships for GRIEG Shipping. The vessel is scheduled to be delivered on June 25th after sea trials. It measures 208.2m in length, 32.2 in width and 19.5m in depth and can carry various cargoes such as pulp, coil, and piping. Especially, it has two gantry cranes on the deck which can lift up to 70-ton so that it can load and unload cargo at ports which aren’t equipped with those facilities.
