Smart Imported Material Management System Begins O
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) started operating the Smart Material Management System for imported material storage to improveits efficiency and productivity as from March this year.
The system uses an electric pen to scan and save the data of imported materials for their
storage, inspection and release. The system allows the workers to easily follow up on the updated packing list and report the status of imported materials to the related departments.
The research and development for the system began in September 2015 and was completed in February 3.
HMD plans to extend the implementation of the system to the locally produced material and electric apparatus storage and delivery team of the material support department this year.
