HMD received a USD 600 million licensing fee for four 50,000 DWT eco-friendly product carriers from Aker Philadelphia Shipyard on May 3.

This contract includes drawings and technical data of the eco-friendly ships designed by the division, purchasing raw materials and manpower dispatching.

The ships measure 183.0 m in length, 32.3 m in breadth, and 19.1 m in depth. The steel cutting ceremony will be in January 2014, with delivery planned for 2016.
