Hyundai Mipo Dockyard delivered 4,700 DWT platform supply vessel ordered by BP Shipping on January 29.

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) delivered the first of four 4,700 DWT platform supply vessels ordered by BP Shipping on January 29.

The NS Elida measures 96 m long, 20 m wide, and 8 m deep. The ship will be used in a drilling project in the North Sea.

The ship will carry manpower, materials, groceries, fuel, and chemical products to project sites and deliver mud, and wastewater to shore. Equipped with advanced equipment like dynamic positioning system and locating system, work at sea is possible in bad weather. Applying fortified vibration and noise standard, the ship also has a fire fighting system to prevent fires and oil spills.
