HMD received orders for one asphalt carrier and two LPG carriers in August.

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) received orders for one asphalt carrier and two LPG carriers in August. European ship owner ordered a 37,000 DWT asphalt carrier on August 22.

The ship consists of 16 individual tanks with four cargo holds, which is optimal for carrying special cargo.

Stealthgas ordered two 22,000 m3 LPG carriers on August 26.

The carriers have steel cargos which can keep the temperatures as low as −
50˚C, which prevents fire and explosion.

HMD expects to expand in the high value ship market and it currently holds 246 ships in order book.
