Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) received orders for six product/chemical tankers in June.

Alterna Capital ordered six 25,000 DWT product/chemical tankers on June 30. The vessels measuring 169 m in length, 25 m in width and 15 m in depth, are scheduled to start building as of May 2015 and to be delivered in September 2016. The vessels were built with eco-ship technologies and a new design developed by HMD for the first time.

Product/chemical tankers account for 70 percent of the 256 ships on the order book at HMD. HMD has kept the best product/chemical tankers building company position in the market.
