HMD INKS 37K TANKER NEWBUILDING CONTRACT WITH MORFINI

HMD has been awarded a contract for one 37,000DWT Product/Chemical Tanker plus one option with well-known Italian shipowner, Morfini S.P.A and the execution of the contract was made by the representative of HMD and Mr.L. Morfini, president of Morfini S.p.A at the latter's head office in Bari, Italy on February 21, 2001.
With an overall length of 176m, a breadth of 31m and a depth of 17m, and an 11,640 Hyundai B&W main engine having a service speed of 15 knots, the vessel is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2002.
The contract will help establish a new business relationship between Morfini and HMD.
