HMD (CHAIRMAN J. I. Lee) had an opening ceremony of its Intra-CATV station on November 30, 2001 for fast delivery of various news and information to the employees.

This Intra-CATV station named “Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Broadcasting” (HMDB) delivers in-house and out-house news during luncheon time all the weekdays.

With the opening of HMDB, HMD has a live image-news delivery system in addition to the existing printed news material of weekly magazine ‘現尾뉴스 (HMD NEWS)’ and monthly magazine ‘World’s Best Shipyard’.

HMDB, with broadcasting during 12:05 to 12:45 every weekdays, is expected to contribute new company culture under its motto “vivid & fresh news”.

The first news was aired with the celebrating images and congratulatory addresses from Chairman J. I. Lee and the representatives of the customers.

Main program would consist of ‘HMD News’, ‘Today’s Information’ and a special program about the founder ‘Jeong, Ju Young’ and etc.

Many distinguished guests including Foremen’s association as well as Chairman, J. I. Lee attended at the opening ceremony of the HMDBS.
