One of the Dockwise’s cable layer was launched on September 20, 2001 in No.4 Dock with HMD’s staff and representative of Dockwise and calss(DNV) in attendance.

This vessel is a 12,600DWT deep seabed cable-laying vessel with an overall length of 146.5 meters, a breath of 21 meters and a depth of 17.10 meters. The vessel is equipped with a state of art dynamic positioning system that can be operated by automatic satellite navigation equipment. The system will enable installation and operation in all kinds of weather conditions.

HMD is currently constructing four(4) cable laying vessels. Dockwise placed an order for two(2) vessels(The first one named “Knight” was delivered end of August) and Alcatel communications of France for three(3) other vessels.
