A series of Product/Chemical Tankers(Hull Nos.0004/0019/0024) respectively for Dalmare S.P.A.(Italy), Genel Denizcilik Nakliyati A.S.(Turkey) and Thenamaris Ships Management(Greece) and the first Passenger Ferry(Hull No.0027) for Bukwan Ferry were successfully launched from the No.3 Dock on December 12, 2001 in the presence of the owner's representatives and classification society's surveyors and other concerned guests.

HMD has demonstrated its technical abilities by accomplishing the pre-launching production in a timely and professional manner, giving the shipowners the creditability and satisfaction.

All the above mentioned vessels are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2002.

Since its starting newbuilding business in 1996, HMD has renewed its sales record year by year, and this year HMD has delivered total 20 vessels, which enables this company to achieve the total turnover of one trillion Korean Won or US$ 8.5million, about 30% higher than that of the year of 2000.

In the meantime, HMD contracted 36 ships during last year to register a total of 66 vessels in its order book.
