Launching and Naming Ceremony shall be carried out at No.3 Dock on December 12, 2001 for the vessel to be named “SUNG HEE” by the owner of Bukwan Ferry.

HMD won the order for this vessel on July 15, 2000. She is capable of accommodating 600 passengers and 150 vehicles as well as 114 containers and is equipped with a variety of state-of-the-art public space and amenities including a game room, cocktail bar and luxury VIP rooms.

One of its features will be the adoption of the latest environmental technology, including low emission propulsion systems. The vessel has a length of 162 meters, a width of 23.6 meters, and a depth of 14.55 meters with a service speed of 20 knots per hour.

She will be operated on the route between Busan, Korea and Simonoseki, Japan after delivery and will make it the first vessel to touch the shores of Japan flying a Korean flag.
