A naming ceremony for a 37,000dwt product and chemical carrier ordered by Thenamaris in 2000 was held on March 11, 2002. The ceremony was attended by the president of HMD and many distinguished guests from the owner.

The vessel, having a length of 182.55m, breadth of 27.3 and a service speed of 14.5knots, was named “SEAEMPRESS” by the sponsor, Ms. Marina Dracopoulou Spingou.. She is the second vessel of four 37,000dwt and two 35,000dwt vessels ordered by Thenamaris.
