A naming ceremony was held for a 35,000-dwt product/chemical carrier (H0103) on July 11, 2002. Mr. K. H. Yu, president of HMD, Mr. Guido Visco, technical director of Navigazione Montanari SpA of Italy, and about 30 other guests were in attendance.

The vessel, named Valle di Navarra by her sponsor Ms. Carla Severi, is the fifth ship of six identical product/chemical tankers ordered by navigazione Montanari.

This tanker is designed to have a length of 176m, a width of 31m and a depth of 17m with a service seed of 15knots and is equipped with environmental pollution prevention facilities meeting U.S. Environmental protection Agency requirements.

HMD is working actively this year, holding 16 naming ceremonies so far, 11 of which have been for product/chemical tankers.
