A grand naming and delivery ceremony for a 37,000dwt Product/chemical carrier(H0024) ordered by GEDEN LINE was held on March 26 at No.4 quay.

The naming & delivery ceremony was attended by the owner's representative, Mr. Ohana Karademir, the vice president of OMI, Mr. Henry Blaustein and over 30 distinguished foreign and domestic guests. It was named the "ORONTES" after a river of the U.S.A.

"ORONTES" was the second unit of two identical product/chemical tankers awarded by GEDEN LINE in May 2000 and was designed to have a length of 182.5m, a width of 37m, and a depth of 17m with a service speed of 15knots.

"OHIO", the first unit, was successfully delivered in December 2001 to the owner.
