HMD held a naming ceremony for a 40,000-dwt product/chemical tanker (H0033) at Quay No. 1 on September 28, 2002.

Mr. Giuseppe Bottiglieri, Bottiglieri president, Mr. K .H. Yu, president of HMD, class surveyors and others attended the ceremony to celebrate its successful construction.

It was named the “Rosaria Bottiglieri” by Mrs. Rosaria, sister of Mr. Giuseppe Bottiglieri.

The vessel was the last unit of four identical 40,000dwt product/chemical tankers awarded by Bottiglieri di Navigazione of Italy in August 2000 and was designed to have a length of 176m, a width of 31m, and a depth of 17m with a service speed of 14.5 knots.

On October 2, HMD held a delivery ceremony at the Italian embassy in the presence of the owner’s representatives and HMD staff.

Meanwhile, Rosaria Bottiglieri entered upon a maiden voyage from the Philippines to Europe.
