Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) celebrated its 40th founding anniversary on September 24.

The event premiered a commemorative video followed by an Award of Merit Ceremony.

The video featured a flashback of the history of HMD for last 40 years, and congratulatory messages from Mr. Kang Hwan-goo, president & CEO of HMD; Mr. Kang Won-sik, chairman of labor union of HMD; Mr. Cho Kil-seon, chairman & CEO of HHI; Mr. Kim Gi-hyeon, mayor of Ulsan; and other guests.

Gang Seon-hyeong, a technical supervisor, who have worked in HMD for 37 years along with three other workers and one from a cooperative company were awarded an appreciation plaque and prize for long service.
